Rim Banna (1966-2018) of Nazareth set Palestinian poetry and lullabies to spare, modern arrangements. Reem Kelani, a British-Palestinian singer and scholar, archived diaspora songs and performed them on Sprinting Gazelle (2005). Amal Murkus of Kafr Yasif sings in Arabic and Hebrew from Palestinian peasant roots.

And in 2001 the Lod trio DAM released “Meen Erhabi” (“Who’s the Terrorist?”), widely credited as the first Palestinian hip hop track, opening a scene that now runs from Lyd to Gaza.
