Nakba Day

Nakba means catastrophe. On 15 May, Palestinians mark the 1948 displacement of some 750,000 people from their homes.

Families keep the keys to houses that no longer exist and wear them as ornaments. The return marches each year insist on the same thing: the displacement is not finished history.
